Tacusil® methacrylate adhesives, also known as structural acrylics or MMA’s, are toughened structural adhesives for difficult-to-bond engineering plastics, composites, unprepared metals, ceramics, and dissimilar substrates. They offer primer-less adhesion for sheet molded compounds (SMC) and fiber reinforced plastics (FRP).
Requiring little or no surface preparation, they can cure very quickly at room temperature with no cumbersome heating fixtures required. Our methacrylate adhesives provide extremely strong, flexible, permanent bonds and excellent chemical/environmental resistance. They are typically two-component 1:1 mix ratio, with some available with a wipe-on activator with a base adhesive resin.
Although acrylics contain volatile monomers, they react so quickly to polymerize as the adhesive cures, they are considered virtually VOC-free.
Tacusil® epoxy adhesives offer exceptionally high strength bonds to metals, ceramics, most plastics, and glass, which are usually stronger than the strength of the substrates. They also have good water, chemical and heat resistance.
As Tacusil® epoxies do not contain VOC, they have very little shrinkage upon curing and do not distort thin substrates. Workplace and environmentally friendly, they are easy for processing in bulk and repackaging.
Tacusil® hot melt adhesives are one type of thermoplastic material. Within a certain range of temperature, the material’s physical state changes with temperature, however, its chemical property remains unchanged. Odor-free and toxic-free, it causes no harm to the environment.
Tacusil® polyurethanes adhesives cure quickly to form an elastic bond for applications that require flexibility between a variety of materials. They offer an excellent structural bond for a wide variety of substrates including polycarbonate, PVC, acrylic, ABS, wood, and certain metals.
Our polyurethanes also offer better performance in low temperature (-40℃) applications as they maintain a high degree of flexibility. Additionally, our polyurethanes perform better than epoxies when subjected to thermal cycling and offer much better adhesion to plastics.
Solvent-based adhesives contain volatile organic solvents and provide good water resistance and adhesion as well as high initial strength.
Tacusil® cyanoacrylates are available in basic methyl and ethyl grades in a variety of viscosities, ranging from water thin wicking grades to non-sag gels.
We also offer a full range of specialty cyanoacrylates including:
a) Surface-insensitive varieties for low pH substrates
b) Clear & black rubber modified or toughened cyanoacrylates for high impact applications
c) Low odor cyanoacrylates to eliminate worker irritation or discomfort
Fast-curing, energy-saving and solvent-free, UV curing adhesives are an ideal choice from the standpoint of environmental protection. They have been used in medical, electronics, daily life and many more fields.
Water-based adhesives, also known as waterborne adhesives, are one type of adhesive that uses water as a medium for dispersing. They are not flammable, safe to produce and use, and their viscosity is easy to change. This type of material is also cost-effective and causes no harm to the environment.
Solvent-based adhesives contain volatile organic solvents and provide good water resistance and adhesion as well as high initial strength.
